Round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin tonight. It’s time for a new round of predictions to be summarily mocked by you jerks in the comments.
But first, a look back at how we did in round one:
- Peter: 6 for 8
- Keith, a Coin: 4 for 8
- Ian: 2 for 8
Haha, a stupid coin beat Ian.

Keith, a 2014 Philadelphia-minted quarter, scored a 50 percent in round one. It’s almost like a coin toss for him.
Chicago Blackhawks (#3) vs Minnesota Wild (#4)
Peter: If anyone will crack Minnesota’s goaltending, it’s gonna be Chicago. Sharp and Kane are gonna have a big series. Hawks in 5.
Ian: Wait – why does this say “Blackhawks” and not “Predators?” My bae :(. Stupid Toews and your stupid Toews face. Whatever. Hawks in 6.
Keith, a coin: Wild.
Anaheim Ducks (#1) vs Calgary Flames (#3)
Peter: The year of the Duck continues. I’m not sure this is even a fair fight. Ducks in 5.
Ian: This may very well be Bruce Boudreau’s year. Sentimental/insane pick here. Ducks in 4.
Keith, a coin: Flames.
Montreal Canadiens (#1) vs Tampa Bay Lightning (#4)
Peter: I have no idea who will win this one. The Habs are a defensive juggernaut thanks to Carey Price, but the Bolts have great 5v5 to counterbalance their garbage special teams. Give me the Lightning in 6.
Ian: I think the Canadiens are a better team than the Lightning. But after that tough seven game series against the Red Wings, I think the Bolts will take it to not-MVP Carey Price. Lightning in 6.
Keith, a coin: Lightning.
New York Rangers (#1) vs Washington Capitals (#2)
Peter: The Caps will be kingslayers in more ways than one. The power play won’t work, but everything else will. Caps in 6.
Ian: After I picked against the Caps in round one, I learned that literally everyone who reads this site thinks I’m an irrationally enthusiastic person who never thinks the Capitals will lose. Nope. Just ridiculously superstitious. Rangers in 6.
Keith, a coin: Rangers.
Keith picked the underdog in every series except the Caps-Rangers. Keith is a jackass. Your turn. Share your predictions below!
