Jordan Kyrou was without a goal song for the first 14 games of the season, but in Game 15 he finally locked in a choice.
Kyrou, a Toronto native, picked Justin Bieber’s 2015 hit “What Do You Mean?” Bieber also hails from Toronto.

The song was one of the biggest hits of Bieber’s career, becoming his first tune to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track features a ticking-clock beat and a distinctive, high-pitched synthesizer melody that sounds like a flute.
That instrumental hook, which bounces around the song’s chorus, could make for a particularly memorable goal song. Its upbeat rhythm, instantly recognizable melody, and playful electronic sounds seem tailor-made for a hockey arena, especially with thousands of fans cheering along.
Kyrou’s goal song comes a day after RMNB’s Katie’s Adler asked Kyrou why the team’s default “Kickstart My Heart” by Mötley CrĂĽe was still being used as his goal song.
“I had one, but [the team] said I couldn’t do it,” Kyrou said Friday.
Kyrou initially chose “Janice STFU” by his “hometown boy” Drake, but the Capitals presumably deemed it wasn’t appropriate for a crowd of all ages, leaving him unsure what to pick for the first month of the season.
Bieber, a longtime Maple Leafs fan who frequently attends games, announced Toronto’s first overall pick at the 2026 NHL Draft: Gavin McKenna.
