The Oshies and Alzners went to Disney World together during the break

Karl Alzner may not be a Capital anymore, but he’s still close friends with many of his former teammates.

Thursday, Lauren Oshie revealed that the Oshie and Alzner families flew to Orlando, Florida and are vacationing together again at Disney World. This is the second time in nearly three years the two families have gone to Disney.

A big part of why is likely due to the close bond between Lyla Oshie and Stella Alzner. Back when TJ and Karl were still living in the area, the two kids were inseparable, routinely going on play dates like this excursion to a playground. The young friends have even watched Caps games together in the past with other Caps’ kids.

The vacation comes as part of the Capitals’ eight-day hiatus between games, which includes the All-Star Break and an NHL bye week.

Karl Alzner kisses daughter Stella through glass during warmups

Capitals defenseman Karl Alzner appears to have a new playoff routine and it’s pretty adorable.

During warmups of each home playoff game so far, Alzner has been spotted giving a good luck wave or kiss to his daugther Stella.

Evgeny Kuznetsov pulls Alex Ovechkin around on a sled during Caps Family Skate (Photos)

The morning after their 1-0 shutout against the Detroit Red Wings, the Caps hosted a family skate after practice. The players were able to bring their little ones onto the ice for some quality ice time.

Such as Evgeny Kuznetsov, who pulled his full-grown man child Alex Ovechkin, around the rink in a boy’s sled.

Stella Alzner was very excited to see Taylor Winnik, her papa, and the Caps Canine Calendar on her TV

Happy Caps Canine Calendar Day! This morning, Taylor Winnik, the photographer of the newest Caps promotional offering, and Sue Bell, the director of the Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, stopped by Fox 5’s Good Day DC to promote the calendar. The segment was great, but the best part about it wasn’t what was happening on the TV, rather the reaction of those at home.

I’m talking specifically about the adorable Stella Alzner.

TJ Oshie, Karl Alzner, and their daughters have a playground playdate

For those of you that haven’t stepped outside the last couple days, the weather has been absolutely glorious. TJ Oshie and Karl Alzner took advantage of the beautiful weather by having a park playdate with their daughters, Lyla Oshie and Stella Alzner.

Lyla and Stella continue their streak of adorable playdates together which have also included a stop into Disney World, to the Zoo and even another playground.

Karl Alzner’s daughter Stella makes a special delivery on camera (Video)

On Wednesday, CSN released a snippet of their upcoming Capitals Central show (Sunday, 8:30 pm) and they just posted some of its high-brow, all-access content.

Let me set the scene. Karl Alzner’s daughter Stella is seen standing by a towel rack and holds up a dachshund-patterned towel. The Alzner family has two (destructive) wiener dogs so clearly that got her excited. So excited in fact, that Stella went into a trance and may have soiled her self.

More Dad Strength: Mandy Alzner Gives Birth to Couple’s Second Child

The Washington Capitals announced Wednesday night that the Alzner family just got one teeny tiny human bigger. Mandy Alzner, who spent most of the 2015-16 season pregnant, has given birth to a healthy baby boy.

The Oshies and Alzners Go to Disney World (Photos)

Former Capital Brooks Laich recently went on a safari, and Alex Ovechkin cut a rug in Mother Russia. Now via Lauren Oshie’s Instagram, we know what TJ Oshie’s and Karl Alzner’s families have been up to.

Last weekend, the two teammates took their families to Disney World. While Oshie and Alzner are literally the opposites on the ice, off of it they both have laid back, kind personalities. And it appears their tiny, adorable children, Lyla Oshie and Stella Alzner, have become inseparable.
