Alex Ovechkin on how he would celebrate passing Gordie Howe: ‘Going to the bar right now. Hot dog. Nachos. Why not?’

Alex Ovechkin, 37, is in the best shape of his life as he chases what was once considered an unbreakable record.

Late Friday night, after passing Gordie Howe for second on the all-time goals list, Ovechkin was ready to have a cheat meal that was so carb-y it’d get a nod of approval from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

“Going to the bar right now,” Ovechkin said to media. “Hot dog. Nachos. Why not?”

Previously, Ovechkin celebrated his 800-goals milestone with a beer bath, getting drenched in his favorite non-liquor drink, Bud Light.

The Vancouver Canucks are on the hunt for a spectator that threw a hot dog at Phil Kessel

The Vancouver Canucks are looking for one of their fans who was a real…wiener during their April 14 home game against the Arizona Coyotes.

The fan in question hurled a hot dog at Coyotes forward Phil Kessel in a display of true sausage crime. Not only was it a waste of a good not-a-sandwich, he completely missed his target by about 30 feet.

ESPN points out Joey Chestnut has now won more titles than 11-time Stanley Cup champion Henri Richard 🌭

Speed-eater Joey Chestnut devoured 71 hot dogs (20,590 calories) in 10 minutes on Thursday to become the champion of the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest for the twelfth time.

“He has God’s username and password and he does with it what he chooses,” the over-the-top announcer said. “The rock in which he stands is not a rock, it is the United States of America.”

The hot-dog-eating contest is a Fourth of July tradition held at the Coney Island boardwalk every year. Chestnut is the number-one ranked eater in the world. This year’s contest marked the 103rd in history.

Phil Kessel is eating hot dogs out of the Stanley Cup

Phil Kessel got run out of town in Toronto. Now after winning two-straight Stanley Cups with Pittsburgh, he’s having the last laugh.

Monday afternoon, Kessel, while playing a round of golf, took to his Instagram account to post two photos of himself eating hot dogs out of the Stanley Cup.
