Axel Jonsson-Fjällby scores twice in first goals since WJC
Since being drafted by the Capitals in 2016, Axel Jonsson-Fjällby has been one of the least-expected stars to rise on a talent packed Swedish team. The follicly-gifted forward made a name for himself during the 2018 World Junior Championships, scoring two shorthanded goals and registering two assists to help propel Sweden to win silver.
Since the WJC ended, Jonsson-Fjällby has struggled a bit to maintain his momentum, at times finding himself on the bench of a second-place Djurgården team in a fight for standings points.
That ended today.
