Tom Wilson, Logan Thompson, and Martin Fehervary have all arrived safely in Italy for the Winter Olympics.
Based on when tweets announcing their arrival were posted, Team Canada landed and deplaned in Milan around 6 am (EST), which is 12 pm (noon) in Italy. Wilson and Thompson both walked out wearing red Team Canada sweats made by Lululemon.
Wilson was noticeably behind Sidney Crosby, who was announced as team captain on Sunday, and former Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper.
Fehervary arrived with his Slovakian teammates wearing black along with a brown beanie.
Slovakia’s social media account had the players do the Buonissimo hand gesture.
The men’s Olympic hockey tournament begins on Wednesday, February 11, as Slovakia takes on Finland in preliminary action at 10:40 am. Canada’s first game is against Czechia at 10:40 am on Thursday.
