The Washington Capitals will look to start a new win streak on Tuesday night in Calgary after dropping their last game on this road trip to the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. Andrew Mangiapane is playing his first game back at the Scotiabank Saddledome with the Caps.
Washington will battle a 24-17-7 Flames team that is clinging onto the second wild card playoff position in the Western Conference. Calgary is led in scoring by their top-line combo of Jonathan Huberdeau (36 points) and Nazem Kadri (34 points).
The Flames will start rookie netminder Dustin Wolf against Calgary native Logan Thompson.

Pierre-Luc Dubois pounces on a Calgary turnover and unleashes a snipe by Dustin Wolf on Washington’s first shot of the game.
Hometown boy Logan Thompson makes a nice stop on a Ryan Lomberg breakaway chance.
Thompson makes another half-breakaway stop on Nazem Kadri.
After a few more Thompson saves in a row, Nic Dowd rings the post behind Wolf on a rush chance.

Dubois gets called for unsportsmanlike conduct at the 12:05 mark of the second period. Dubois was not happy about a perceived miss holding call on Blake Coleman.

Adam Klapka catches Tom Wilson with a late cross-check to put Washington on another power play with 11:17 left in the third.
