After weeks of teasers, leaks, and one particularly bizarre appearance by a fan at Capital One Arena, the Washington Capitals have officially unveiled their new Hometown Remix jerseys.
The new sweaters, released Monday morning as part of an NHL-wide collaboration with Fanatics, bring back the franchise’s iconic blue color scheme from the late 1990s — well, with a much brighter blue — while incorporating several design elements inspired by Washington, DC.

The jersey features the Capitals’ vintage Capitol Dome logo as its primary crest, with Screaming Eagle patches on the shoulders. Black and bronze striping runs across the sleeves and waist, while the white sections of the sweater feature marble-inspired detailing that pays tribute to the architecture of the nation’s capital.
The design also marks the return of the Capitol Dome logo to the front of a Capitals jersey for the first time since the franchise retired its original black uniforms in 2007.

Make sure to check out the other new apparel and headwear to go along with the drop. The lace-up hoodie ($114.99) will likely be a best seller. There is also an Authentic Pro hoodie ($129.99). For headwear, the knit hat $33.99 will likely also be popular and go fast.
Please note: custom jerseys will be coming sometime after launch — though the date of release is unclear as of now.
