Alex Ovechkin has already collected several nuanced goal records from Wayne Gretzky including most 40-goal seasons, most road goals, and most multi-goal road games in NHL history.
On Saturday, Ovechkin collected another one from The Great One against the Boston Bruins. After sliding a puck one-handed into Boston’s goalie-less goal frame, Ovechkin became the all-time leader in empty-net goals with 57, passing Gretzky who finished his career with 56.
And yeah, there’s a bobblehead of that.

FOCO released the bobblehead celebrating Ovi’s latest accomplishment over the weekend. While the bobblehead is being publicly promoted with “blackout” graphics where it just shows the silhouette, the merch-makers were once again willing to give RMNB readers a first look at the artwork.

The bobble features Ovechkin with his arms raised high into the air while wearing the team’s away uniform he played in that day. Bobble Ovi stands in front of an empty net and a litany of pucks, commemorating all his ENGs. His name is displayed on the front along with the date he got the record, February 10, 2024, and the Capitals’ Weagle logo. The backboard features columns around the number 57.
The Ovechkin Empty-Net Goals Record bobblehead is extremely limited — 108 units.
FOCO currently has several other awesome Capitals collectibles available including an Alex Ovechkin and Mike Gartner Then & Now bobblehead and Ivan Miroshnichenko’s NHL debut bobblehead.
