The Capitals have made it home after a successful 3-0 road trip. Tonight, the Columbus Blue Jackets are stopping by Capital One Arena. The Capitals are currently on a six game winning streak, we are celebrating our 10th birthday, and Nicklas Backstrom is BACK(strom) in the lineup. That last one was a reach, I apologize, but everything is looking pretty dandy these days.
Finally, the game is back to a normal time. Puck drop is at 7PM and Pete will have a recap for you.

Magic
This is cute. I can’t remember where I saw it one time, but I think it’s common knowledge that Ovechkin loves magic? At any rate, great to see two guys (that know how to properly produce magic) bonding.
Watch? Phone? Wallet?

Storylines
- Alex Ovechkin basically invented Cyber Monday.
- Common great pairings: Peanut Butter and Jelly, Chocolate and Strawberries, Jakub Vrana and Captain.
- The hottest gift of the season, Ovi O’s are back in stock!
- We’re all happy about Nicklas Backstrom being back in the lineup, but Tom Wilson made it known to the world after delivering this big ol’ bear hug.
- Capitals prospect, Beck Malenstyn has officially been suspended three games by the AHL for elbowing.
- Alex Ovechkin responded to Russia’s ban from the 2022 Winter Olympics.
- The “John Carlson success” train just keeps chugging along and doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.
- Ryan Getzlaf called Garnet Hathaway “cowardly”. Pretty rude, imo.
- The Ovechkins that stickhandle together, stay together. Like father, like son. I’ll add more cliches as time goes on.
Jagr 4 Ever
Jaromir Jagr is still out here. He’s currently coming back from an injury, about to turn 48, and has seven assists and eight goals in 21 games for Rytíři Kladno. #Jagr4Ever
Jaromir Jagr (@68Jagr) is still an ANIMAL. 💪
