The Washington Nationals appears to have caught Caps playoff fever and they don’t care who knows it.
Last weekend, the team watched the Capitals-Bruins game during batting practice at Citizens Bank Park. A few days later, outfielder Adam Eaton took his son to practice at Kettler. On Saturday, the Nationals attended Game Two at Verizon Center.
Pitcher Max Scherzer was first to break the news, telling Grant Paulsen on Friday that he and a few other Nats players would attend. The full Nats crew included Scherzer, Michael A. Taylor, Trea Turner, Ryan Zimmerman, Adam Eaton, Vegas Golden Knights fan Bryce Harper, and their significant others.
The Nationals attended the game in a suite and did not meet any fans for photos, but a few players did post about their night on Instagram. Adam Eaton posted a photo of his ticket while on the way to the game.
Shortstop Trea Turner seemed to get really into the game.

MASN on-field reporter Dan Kolko also attended the game, but he definitely won the ticket lottery with fourth row seats near section 101.

Although the game ended as painfully as it could for the good guys, maybe the Nationals attendance rubbed off some good luck on the Caps. The Nats walked off the Phillies with a Harper three-run home-run in the bottom of the ninth inning on Sunday.
