Don Cherry flowed out of a volcano Saturday night to deliver his latest edition of Coach’s Corner on Hockey Night In Canada.
With the Caps and Habs featured, Cherry had some kind things to say about Tom Wilson after the Caps forward’s two-goal first period.

I am going to transcribe this because it really highlights Don’s enlightening and refined analysis.
Don Cherry: Ohhh aaaahhhhhhh I love Tom Wilson. I love his dad too. They’re great guys. And you know? I feel sorry for Price. He’s got to get in a rhythm. Look at that. Look at that goal. No reason why he should not have had that goal. And Tom Wilson. Boy, he is my type of guy. Look at that. He’s tough. A cold-turkey shot. ANYHOW.
A good guy! A good Toronto BOY!
As a Toronto native, Tom is likely geeking out about having another huge night in his homeland and getting a shoutout from The Canadian Donald.
He even got the coveted HNIC towel.

But I’m more happy for Tom’s handsome papa Keven. As a father myself, I do not know how he raised three boys and they all turned out so kind, well nourished, and talented.
So way to go, Keven. You the real MVP.
