It is almost here. The 2025-26 begins anon, which is something I think they say in Shakespeare to mean soon. Check me on that. For the Washington Capitals, our new schedule page tells me game one of the rego season is Wednesday, October 8 vs the Boston Bruins. An auspicious day.
But I before can allow that game to happen, I simply must have your predictions about how the season will go.
For example:
- What will happen with Alex Ovechkin? Goals? Contract extension?
- Will the Caps make the playoffs again?
- What of Sonny Milano’s durability?
- Thompson vs Lindgren: which goalie will play better?
- Who will win the Cup? And who will finish 32nd out of 32?
All that and more, plus the question I will keep asking until it comes true: is this the year Ted buys a baseball team?
It will take you four minutes to do, tops. I’ll share my own predictions in the comments. Don’t make fun of me, I am very sensitive right now. We’ll share the broader predictions maybe twenty games in.
