The Washington Capitals are in Newark, New Jersey today to see if they can remain undefeated in the 2025 preseason.
Against the Devils, Spencer Carbery will ice a lineup that feature a mix of prospects and NHL veterans. Alex Ovechkin won’t dress for a third straight exhibition game, but was a full participant in the non-game group’s skills session back at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
Pierre-Luc Dubois, Jakob Chychrun, Charlie Lindgren, and 2024 first-round pick Terik Parascak are among those expected to make their preseason debuts. Meanwhile, top prospects Ryan Leonard, Ilya Protas, Andrew Cristall, and Eriks Mateiko will get their second game this fall.
Monumental Sports Network and NHL Network will televise the contest. Puck drop at the Prudential Center is scheduled for 3 pm.
