Hockey fans across the country will get plenty of chances to watch the Washington Capitals this season.

The NHL released its 2025-26 national broadcast schedule for the United States on Wednesday, and the Capitals top the list with 18 games on on the calendar. Washington will start its season on TNT, featuring as the network’s first game of the campaign against the Boston Bruins on October 8 at 7:30 pm. On October 28, the Caps will face the Dallas Stars on ESPN as part of a triple-header during the network’s 32-team Frozen Frenzy.

Eight Capitals games will air on TNT, four will air on ESPN, three will air on ABC, and three will air on ESPN+ and Hulu.

Alongside the national broadcast schedule, the NHL also announced start time changes for four Capitals games. Monumental Sports Network is set to release details for the Capitals’ local broadcasts at a later time, where several national TV games could also be broadcast locally on Monumental Sports Network, similar to last season.

The ESPN family of networks (including ESPN, ABC, ESPN+, and Hulu) will broadcast 100 regular-season games the NHL, while TNT will show 72 contests — a 10-game increase from 2024-25.
