Jayden Daniels, along with a contingent of other Washington Commanders players, attended the Capitals’ 3-1 Game 2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens, Wednesday.

Daniels, the NFL’s reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, was the star of the show and drew a crowd, sitting glass-side along with fellow quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and Sam Hartman.

After the game, Daniels and other members of the team were invited down to the locker room where Alex Ovechkin greeted them. Daniels even left with a special parting gift.

Ovechkin, who has become a big Commanders fan during his time in Washington, gave Daniels one of his signed game-used sticks, which is now especially valuable after he broke the NHL goals record earlier in the month. Daniels could also be seen in other photos posted by the Capitals meeting Spencer Carbery, Lars Eller, and Ryan Leonard.

A group of Capitals fans caught a glimpse of Daniels and his new twig after he emerged from Capital One Arena and left in an SUV. He was spotted carefully putting the stick in before driving home.
