A little over 24 hours after defeating the New York Islanders 5-4 (OT), the Washington Capitals are back to complete their holiday weekend back-to-back against the New Jersey Devils in Jorsey.

The Capitals are 1-2-0 against the Devils this season and have been outscored 13-11. No home team has won in this series so far this year.

Spencer Carbery has some changes for tonight. Most notably, Connor McMichael will jump up to the top line. Charlie Lindgren will return to net for the first time since giving up The Tuck.

The Capitals-Islanders game is airing on Monumental Sports Network. Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin have the call. Puck drop is shortly after 7:00 pm.

Capitals to the first power play of the game after Paul Cotter commits interference on Andrew Mangipane at the 14:22 mark.

Devils negate their power play after Jesper Bratt hooks Tom Wilson right off the draw. The Capitals have drawn 8 penalties during opponents’ power plays, tied with Toronto for the most in the league.

Capitals win 6-5 in an absolute wild game. Capitals and Devils tie season series two games apiece. Washington outshoots New Jersey 32 to 27 and out-attempts them 47 to 33 at five-on-five.
