Two days after suffering a 6-2 defeat in their preseason opener, the Washington Capitals are back on the ice to take on Atlantic Division rival, Boston, at TD Garden.
The Capitals will ice a young roster that features several veterans will making their Capitals’ preseason debuts including Pierre-Luc Dubois and Matt Roy. The Protas brothers will notably play their first game together.
“It’s something we couldn’t even dream of,” Aliaksei Protas said. “Being on the same team, it’s going to be something special.”
Tom Wilson, Connor McMichael, and Martin Fehervary will play their first games while Hunter Shepard is expected to play the entire 60 minutes.
WSH-BOS will begin shortly after 7 pm and can be watched on Monumental Sports Network. Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin have the call.

On a rush down the ice, Brown fires a shot past a screened Shepard. Ethen Frank appeared to lose sight of the trailer as he skated back into the zone for coverage.

Miro sprung on a semi-breakaway by Hardy Haman Aktell with an approximately 120 foot-long stretch pass from behind the net. Miro unleashed a huge slap shot from the right circle.

Cristall has goals in consecutive games. Huge credit though to Henrik Rybinski who bunted the puck over to the prospect after he collected the rebound in the slot for the wide-open look.
Boston Bruins win 4-2. The Capitals outshot the Bruins 22 to 19 and out-attempted them at 5v5, 36 to 29. Porous coverage seemed to doom the Caps tonight.
