HERSHEY, PA — Tonight’s a huge night in Central Pennsylvania. The Bears can clinch back-to-back Calder Cup championships with a win on home ice in Game 6 against the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

After taking two of three from the Firebirds inside Acrisure Arena in California, the Bears hold a 3-2 lead in the championship series and are back at Giant Center. Hershey has the opportunity to be the first AHL team to repeat as champions since they did it in 2009 and 2010.

Tonight’s game is sold out. You can watch on Monumental Sports Network and FOX43. You can also live stream the game on Monumental’s website and via AHL TV’s streaming service.

MATT STROME SCORES THE CALDER CUP WINNING GOAL IN OVERTIME! THE HERSHEY BEARS ARE BACK-TO-BACK CALDER CUP CHAMPIONS! It’s Strome’s second of the playoffs and was assisted by Riley Sutter 1:06 into sudden death.

Cale Fleury finds a loose puck after a scramble and beats Hunter Shepard to tie the game. Hendrix Lapierre was stopped on a semi-breakaway just moments before Fleury scored.

Ryan Winterton scores his second of the night (7) from Shane Wright (8) and Cameron Hughes (15). Winterton found a loose puck in the crease and lobbed it past Shepard.

Marian Studenic scores a four-on-four goal (4) from Devin Shore (8) and Jimmy Schuldt (3). Studenic beat Hunter Shepard high and to the far side. Perfectly placed shot.

Jimmy Huntington finishes the period with a huge hit on Ryker Evans. Bears fans are going crazy as they salute the team down the tunnel for intermission. The energy here is crazy.

Hendrix Lapierre scores a five-on-five goal via a deflection (7) from Chase Priskie (12). Lappy now has 22 points (7g, 15a) in the playoffs.

Bears kill the penalty. They’ve killed off 16 of 17 CV power plays in the finals.

After a scoring chance, Ethen Frank takes a big hit in the corner and his twig snaps in half.

Per Hershey Bears PR, Joe Snively’s assist on Pierrick Dube’s goal is his 27th career playoff apple for the Bears. He now sits 10th all-time. Snively is rumored to be headed to the KHL next season.

At the 10:00 mark of the first period, Hershey has 8 of the first 11 shots on goal. They are riding the momentum from the home crowd. The Bears first line of Snively-Lapierre-Frank has been dangerous and is skating fast.

7:06 pm: Amy Lambert sings the national anthem. The crowd sings along in a powerful moment.

7:05 pm: Bogdan Trineyev, Riley Sutter, and Matt Strome get the start for the Bears at forward. Jake Massie and Chase Priskie will be out on defense. Hunter Shepard will be in goal.

7:03 pm: The Hershey Bears take the ice to a huge ovation.

6:58 pm The lights go down in Giant Center.

6:56 pm: The Firebirds will start John Hayden, Devin Shore, and Marian Studenic at forward. Cale Fleury and Gustav Olofsson will be on defense. Chris Driedger will be in goal.

6:50 pm: The players are off the ice and in the locker rooms.

6:33 pm: The Hershey Bears have published their lines for Game 6. Lucas Johansen (injury), Vincent Iorio (injury), Aaron Ness (injury), Jon McDonald (injury), and Garrett Roe (injury) are all out due to injury. Previously, Todd Nelson said Roe could be available. Hunter Shepard will start.

6:30 pm: Both teams are out on the ice for warmups. Aaron Ness is on the ice for a third straight game, but will not play.

4:15 pm: The Bears have arrived to Giant Center.
