The Hershey Bears are bringing their own version of Oktoberfest to a February game likely thanks to puns.
The Bears are hosting FeBREWary at Giant Center on Saturday, February 24 for their matchup against the Rochester Americans. And Hershey’s players will absolutely be getting into the spirit.
Like they’re Philipp Grubauer in Germany during his day with the Stanley Cup, the Bears will wear lederhosen — except they’re designed onto sublimated jerseys created by Exclusive Pro Sports.

The specialty sweaters also feature a faux red plaid shirt and caramel collar. The brown stripes and caramel striping on the arms bring the ensemble together along with the Hershey Bears stitched crest logo. To complete the look, the skaters will also wear special red plaid socks.

The Bears will auction off the FeBREWary jerseys after the game to support beneficiaries including the Central PA Food Bank and Hershey Food Bank, which are part of the club’s Hershey Bears Cares program.
According to a Bears release, the Alpenrose Schuhplattler dancers will put on a special performance during the second intermission.
Before puck drop, fans can attend a beer fest from 2:30 to 4:30 if they purchase special tickets in the embedded tweet below. The 21-and-older event will include beer and wine tastings from premier local vendors; a sampling pass for six delicious food stops; and a FeBREWary alpine hat, tote bag, and tasting glass.

The team will also hold a pregame food drive, collecting canned and nonperishable food items outside the front entrance of the arena.
Fans are asked to bring items that are within their best by or sell by dates for those in need, with emphasis on: Canned spinach, asparagus, and mushrooms, boxed or bagged potato, rice, and pasta sides, heat-and-eat soups, cereal, creamy peanut butter and jelly, and canned fruit.
Additionally, personal items like toothpaste, deodorant, bar soap, toilet paper, and tissues are also in need.
