Philipp Grubauer wears lederhosen as he brings the Stanley Cup to hometown in Germany

Former Capitals goaltender Philipp Grubauer took the Stanley Cup his hometown of Rosenheim, Germany Monday. As any German is wont to do, Grubauer greeted the Cup in lederhosen.

That is a very good look.

Grubauer later went on the ice at the rink of his former youth team the Starbulls Rosenheim.

As he held a public event, the stage Grubauer stood on was decorated with all his former jerseys. The red Capitals home jersey hung in the middle.

“I am pleased that so many are there. I don’t know what to say,” Grubauer said as he brought the Cup on the stage, as reported by Michael Bauer of Eishockey NEWS.

A couple even came to his public photo opportunity in a wedding dress and tuxedo!
