Evgeny Kuznetsov shaves head bald as Capitals players turn playoff beards into goatees for Game Four

The Washington Capitals know that the end is near so they went to dramatic lengths to change their luck heading into Game Four.

Down 3-0 in their first-round series, several Capitals players sported new looks, highlighted by first-line center Evgeny Kuznetsov who shaved his head bald and left a goatee.

Jakub Vrana, who missed on a breakaway attempt in Game Three, buzzed his hair.

TJ Oshie took a razor to his beard and appears to be sporting a mullet.

Radko Gudas’s goatee was very furry.

After a stinker in the first period, Kuzy and Ovi tied the game in the second period. Ovi scored the game-winner in the third.

The goatees worked – though it’s still unclear what inspired it.
