Alex Ovechkin celebrates son’s second birthday from afar in bubble

Alex Ovechkin wished his son Sergei a happy birthday 500 miles away from the Toronto bubble on Tuesday.

“Happy birthday to our life!” Ovechkin wrote on Instagram. “Mom @nastyashubskaya and I love you so much!!!!”

Ovi published the post around 8 AM before the team’s morning skate.

Ovechkin has been away from his family since late July when the Capitals flew north-of-the-border for the 2020 playoffs.

Meanwhile, Nastya wrote this heartfelt note.

“Happy birthday, my beloved son! In this photo, you’re only 3 days old, and you’re already looking at me with such an understanding, deep look! I want to wish you, most importantly, health. Me and your dad will always be there for you. Us, and our big, friendly family.”

Happy Birthday, Sergei!
