Juan Soto hit the longest home run of his career against the Mets: ‘I wanted to see if I could hit it in the apple’

Juan Soto is back and already doing Juan Soto Things.

Monday, in the Washington Nationals’ 16-4 thrashing of the New York Mets, the Childish Bambino hit the longest home run of his young career.

The ball traveled 463 feet and left his bat going 108.6 MPH.

This was Trea Turner’s reaction from the dugout.

After the game, Soto admitted to watching the dinger leave the ballpark and hoped he could “hit in the apple.”

The apple, of course, is the large, plastic celebratory thing that pops up at Mets Stadium after someone hits a home run.

Soto added humbly that he was “not at all” surprised by how far his home runs go.

What a GOAT.
