If you thought Nicklas Backstrom practiced in complete silence with a very serious look on his face, you’d *checks Twitter* be wrong.
The Capitals released a mic’d up video of Backstrom from a recent bubble hockey practice on Friday. While Backstrom is predictably very competitive on the ice, he also cracks jokes.
“New drill! Suck it, [team] white,” Backstrom says.
And yes, he’s both a singer and a dancer.
Blessing your feed with some @backstrom19 singing. #ALLCAPS pic.twitter.com/YNNOowIAfo

The Capitals caught Backstrom singing three separate times during practice. While standing beside Jakub Vrana along the boards, Backstrom rocks out to his own rendition of Work It, a remix of a Jay Sean song by Regard. Jakub Vrana and Tom Wilson chip in at times.
Can’t say I ever thought I’d hear such suggestive lyrics from my Swedish Dad’s mouth. Yet here we are.
Check out these moves!
2020 just keeps the surprises coming!
