In a stunning offseason crossover no one saw coming, Devils defenseman PK Subban lifted weights as the biggest movie star on planet Earth, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, served as his workout coach.
“Today, I became a man. @TheRock,” Subban wrote on his social media accounts.

In the video, Subban can be seen doing lat pulldowns as The Rock softly urges him to push past his boundaries.
“Where the work is. Where the work is!” The Rock says. “You’ve got one more. You’ve got one more.”
The Rock slaps Subban on the back when he’s finished.
Subban’s fiancee, Lindsey Vonn, also posted a video.
Subban, a longtime wrestling fan, and The Rock have become unlikely friends over the last few years and it may have started on social media.
The Rock praised the Norris Trophy-winning defenseman on Twitter after Subban gave his stick away to a fan in March 2019. The kid broke down in tears. “Now that’s what it’s all about 👊🏾👊🏾👏🏾👏🏾,” The Rock wrote to Subban.

In June 2019, Subban and his Vonn were on the set of the HBO series Ballers where they hung out with the CEO of Seven Bucks Companies. Subban used the opportunity to cut a promo and use the wrestler’s famous catchphrase against him.
A month later, Subban and Vonn attended the movie premiere of Hobbs And Shaw, which The Rock starred in.
This is surreal, and I love it.
