The Seattle Kraken announced its name on Thursday and demand for its initial UNLEASH THE KRAKEN merch was so big that it took down the offshoot site’s server.
This evening, official Kraken gear first arrived in its shop and the collection is absolutely tremendous.

As of publishing at 10:45 PM, there are 77 pieces of new Kraken merchandise, including hats, shirts, hoodies, and beanies.
My favorite shirt that I may or may not be buying (hey, I like Washington teams!) is this navy blue shirt that features the team’s wordmark, logo, and year it will debut with hockey sticks.
The only noticeable omission is the team’s new jerseys which will debut online likely closer to the Expansion Draft.
