Alex Ovechkin showed off a fancy gift from the Washington Capitals on Instagram, Thursday.
After scoring his 700th goal against the New Jersey Devils on February 22, the Washington Capitals promised Ovechkin a fancy watch from Hublot during a pregame ceremony against the Winnipeg Jets.
The Hublot Big Bang Unico Titanium Watch features Ovechkin’s number 8 shield as well as the number 700 on the top. The straps are red, white, and blue.
This was the initial design.

Suffice to say, the real-life example turned out gr8.
Hublot is a sponsor of Ovechkin’s. Hublot officially named Ovechkin a “friend of the brand” on November 6 at a dinner reception at Nobu. The Capitals’ captain also attended a Hublot grand opening celebration in Russia where he met legendary footballer, Pele, at the event.
