After cuddling on a couch for photos Saturday night, the Capitals’ Russian 5 are now taking their talents to TikTok.
The talented hockey players were adorably led by Esenia Kuznetsov, who posted the video to her TikTok page and was later re-posted by Ilya Samsonov. There is so much happening here.

All six participants do the same dance combination where they lift their elbows up, shimmy their chest, do a big clap, and then jump off the screen. They’re doing the Baby Come Give Me Something dance by Wiz Khalifa.
Nastya Ovechkina also posted two videos from the side at the kitchen table. Here’s the group’s first attempt, noticeably missing Orlov.
My favorite dancer here is Ilya Samsonov, who clearly never learned to boogie in Magnitogorsk as a young lad. But, I’m going to give him a pass because his enthusiasm and crazy eyes make up for any deficiencies in my book.
Dmitry Orlov participated in the finished video that was less bad dance-wise, but a tad more boring and less ridiculous.
Sure, common sense dictates that maybe these players should stay away from each other to minimize the risk of a COVID-19 outbreak on the team ahead of the playoffs, but if they’re going to be in a quarantine bubble, I want the Caps’ Russian 5 together in it. More Russians, more fun, you know?
