CBA & RTP Agreements – NHLPA Process
Tuesday, July 7, the NHLPA’s Executive Board approves sending the tentative agreement to a membership vote.
Wednesday, July 8, Players’ Ratification voting window opens.
Friday, July 10, the voting window closes and the NHLPA announces the Players’ decision.
The secret ballot vote will be conducted electronically.
If a simple majority (> 50%) of players vote for the new CBA and RTP protocols, Phase 3 will tentatively begin next week and the 24-team playoff will begin in August.
Full NHLPA membership will now vote over 48 hours (Wednesday-Friday). A simple majority is enough to pass the tentative CBA
