TV Line’s Michael Ausiello got a big scoop this week: the hockey movie series The Mighty Ducks is being revived as a series on the Disney+ streaming platform. The new series will feature Emilio Estevez as Coach Gordon Bombay, plus a new character played by Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham.
According to Ausiello, the series will be 10 episodes long. The story will pick up in the modern day, but now the Mighty Ducks are the bad-guy team from which Graham’s son gets cut.
Disney shared some production stills from the show.

And Graham, who is a tremendous actor that I enjoy very much, shared her enthusiasm.
This show is funny and warm-hearted and I’m so proud to be a part of it! xL https://t.co/tOInSQQoON

No word if Connie will be in the revival, but I’d sure like that.
