Leni Oshie gives TJ Oshie his donut after scoring goal

The Washington Capitals got shellacked by the New York Islanders Monday night, but there was at least one redeeming story from the game.

TJ Oshie scored his 21st goal of the season and won a donut from his daughter Leni after a pregame challenge from the adorable toddler.

Tuesday morning, Leni delivered the tasty treat to dad and the whole family got to celebrate.

Leni took TJ to the Duck Donuts, likely at the Lee Harrison Shopping Center in Arlington, Virginia, to make good on her bet.

“It was a cake doughnut and it was cinnamon sugar and then vanilla drizzle on top,” Oshie said.

Lauren posted video from the family’s trip and even put a soundtrack over TJ chomping into the donut: his goal song, Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver. This is literally perfect.

Lauren also posted a few photos.

Best.
