The Washington Capitals accomplished a franchise first, Sunday, when they came back from two goals in the game’s final minute and beat the San Jose Sharks in overtime, 5-4. The Capitals celebrated at center ice in a wild mosh pit-like hug.
Alex Ovechkin, who was celebrating the 10-year anniversary of first becoming captain, took his Russian teammates and their families out to Sakura Japanese Steakhouse, one of his favorite restaurants, after the game.
And, you guys, he became a hibachi chef!

Ovechkin was joined at Sakura by Evgeny Kuznetsov, Dmitry Orlov, and Ilya Samsonov. The players brought their wives. Ecenia Kuznetsova joined mom and dad at the restaurant too.
After a real hibachi chef got things going, he asked Ovechkin to jump behind the grill. Chef Ovi flipped everyone, including his ridiculous teammates, food.
Kuzy caught a piece of steak with his mouth and then did the Baby Shark chomp. Kuzy, an avid Washington Nationals fan, recently did the ridiculous celebration after TJ Oshie was given the Capitals hard hat too.
Rookie goaltender Ilya Samsonov, who recently set a new NHL record for road wins, also needed only one try to catch the food in his mouth.
This team has so many talents.
