Voices of Service performed the national anthem ahead of the Capitals-Sharks game on Sunday. The singing group is made up entirely of veterans and active-duty service members.
The performance marked the first time that the America’s Got Talent Season 14 finalists have sung in front of Capitals fans. Caleb Green, one of the performers in the group, is the Capitals’ longtime anthem singer along with Bob McDonald.

“They sounded absolutely beautiful,” Sam Wolk, better known by fans as The Horn Guy, said to me. “Crystal killed it with a solo on the bridge while the gentlemen did vocal harmonies behind her. The crowd gave them the proper appreciation.”
The group was introduced by PA announcer Byron Hudtloff. Hudtloff was handling the PA duties for Wes Johnson who is participating at MAGFest at the National Harbor.
“It was so great to hear them in person,” Wolk said of VOS. “They are so uplifting.”
