Evgeny Kuznetsov brings back bird celly after scoring on New Year’s Eve 🦅

Evgeny Kuznetsov snuck one more goal into 2019 to get the Caps on the scoreboard against the Isles on New Year’s Eve.

To celebrate, Kuzy brought back the bird celly.

It’s a weird one. With Vrana and Orlov in the corner, Kuznetsov someone evades detection by the Islanders’ defense. Orlov centers the puck, and Kuznetsov is able to tuck it behind Varlamov.

That’s Kuznetsov’s 14th goal of the season — and good enough for a bird celebration.

Update: Kuzy scored again in the first minute of the second period to give the Caps a 3-2 lead.
