WeRateDogs rates Capitals puppy Captain a ’14/10 an honor to pet’

The Washington Capitals were graced by the famous Twitter account @dog_rates at Capital One Arena on Friday.

WeRateDogs, which has 8.6 million followers (approximately 6 Alex Ovechkin Instagram accounts), specializes in rating canines. Think Todd Reirden ranking Tom Wilson’s attraction level but for dogs and their overall cuteness.

Matt Nelson, the Twitter account’s fluffy-haired founder, gave Captain a 14/10 rating and “an honor to pet.”

The WeRateDogs Instagram post got 140k likes.

Matt also posted this photo of him petting Captain on his personal account.

The Washington Post’s Samantha Pell posted a pic of the two together near the Caps’ locker room.

Captain, who has an impressive command of the English language, thanked @dog_rates for the 14/10 rating.

“omg tysm … i dont have a speech prepared so im just winging this … i just wanna say thank u to my parents for makinggg me rly rly cute and i wouldnt be here without the luv and support of my @Capitals! it was gr8 meeting u dogfather hope we cross paths againnn.”

The famous meetup follows Captain receiving the honor of Sports Dog of the Year by Katie Nolan.
