The Washington Capitals were graced by the famous Twitter account @dog_rates at Capital One Arena on Friday.
WeRateDogs, which has 8.6 million followers (approximately 6 Alex Ovechkin Instagram accounts), specializes in rating canines. Think Todd Reirden ranking Tom Wilson’s attraction level but for dogs and their overall cuteness.
Matt Nelson, the Twitter account’s fluffy-haired founder, gave Captain a 14/10 rating and “an honor to pet.”
This is Captain, the hockey pup for the @Capitals. When he’s done on the ice he’ll be a service dog for a veteran or first responder. 14/10 an honor to pet pic.twitter.com/09XwXlsnO7
