Alex Ovechkin played with his own Ovi Funko POP! figurine with son Sergei

A new Alex Ovechkin Funko POP! figurine was released Tuesday morning just in time for the Christmas holiday. The Fanatics Exclusive figurine, which you can purchase right here, includes Ovi’s gap-toothed smile and his yellow skate laces for the first time.

Tuesday night, Ovechkin got ahold of one of his own plastic clones and played with it with his son Sergei.

When Ovi arrived in the playroom with the box, Sergei was immediately in a trance. It was like he was seeing double.

Eventually, Sergei grabbed the toy, rubbed its eyes, and tried to stuff it back into the box because that’s where it lives and why did you take you guys take it out of its home? “It’s Papa,” Nastya said to her son.

In a later Instagram Story video, Funko Ovi came back out of the box again and Sergei used his plastic father as a hockey puck.

Sergei liked Funko Ovi, but he clearly prefers the real thing more.

Yup, I definitely see the resemblance.
