Tuesday morning the Capitals announced that they will once again be hosting their annual “Hockey n’Heels” event at Medstar Capitals Iceplex on Tuesday, January 14, from 6-9:30 pm.
Tickets go on sale Thursday, December 12 at 10 am. Fans interested in purchasing tickets must sign up for Scarlet Caps, a team-run fan-club for female Caps fans at washingtoncaps.com/ScarletCaps. Sign-up for Scarlet Caps is free, but tickets for Hockey n’Heels will be $80 ($70 for season ticket holders). A link to purchase tickets will be sent via email to Scarlet Caps members. There is a limit of 4 tickets per member.
Attendees will get to participate in off-ice lectures and on-ice demonstrations featuring Capitals team staff, broadcasters, and Caps players. They will also get photo opportunities with the attending players, and an exclusive souvenir.
Last season, fans who participated were joined by players Travis Boyd, Phoenix Copley, Nic Dowd, and former Capital Madison Bowey. Capitals alumni Craig Laughlin and Rod Langway, as well as Head Coach Todd Reirden were also in attendance, as well as United States women’s ice hockey team member Haley Skarupa.

The Washington Capitals announced today Scarlet Caps presented by Giant will host Hockey ’N Heels on Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 6-9:30 p.m. at MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va. Tickets for the event will be available beginning Thursday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m.
Hockey ’N Heels is held each season exclusively for members of Scarlet Caps and features instructional sessions and on-ice demonstrations targeted towards the Capitals’ female audience.
Fans interested in attending Hockey ’N Heels must register for the Scarlet Caps newsletter at WashingtonCaps.com/ScarletCaps prior to tickets going on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Dec. 12. Scarlet Caps membership is free. A ticket link will be sent to all Scarlet members. Tickets for this year’s event are $80 ($70 for Capitals Season Ticket Holders) with a limit of four (4) tickets per member. Tickets are not guaranteed for all Scarlet members. Space is limited and tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis.
The night will be divided into sessions of on-ice demonstrations featuring Capitals players and off-ice presentations featuring coaches, broadcast talent and Capitals alumni. Hockey ’N Heels on-ice demonstrations will feature the opportunity to play broomball and receive hockey instruction from Capitals players. There also will be a photo opportunity with Capitals personalities.
All attendees will receive an exclusive Scarlet Caps souvenir gift courtesy of Giant.
