Wracked by injury and smarting from a bad game in New York, the Washington Capitals announced defensive roster changes on Friday morning. The team has assigned defender Tyler Lewington back to Hershey and recalled Christian Djoos.
The Djoos… is loose.
Djoos has not played an NHL game since last postseason, from which he was scratched the last four games. Djoos has one goal and ten assists in 18 games with the Bears this season.
Yes, there is a shirt for this occasion.
Update, 9:45 AM: Salary cap implications:
After assigning Lewington ($675,000) and recalling Djoos ($1,075,000) the #Capitals are now left with only $76,667 in their LTIR Salary Pool.https://t.co/iDrrMiK55o https://t.co/1oXRFNDrPL
