Alex Ovechkin takes baby Sergei out onto the ice before and after practice, gives him puck

Sergei Ovechkin’s hockey obsession appears to be growing by the day.

Tuesday, Sergei’s future Hall of Fame father, Alex Ovechkin, took him out onto the ice with his Capitals teammates before and after practice for the very first time.

Sergei also looks to have gotten some new hockey sticks from the team store.

Tuesday’s practice began with Ovechkin taking some laps with Sergei in his arms. The two Ovechkins made sure to pose for a photo with Mom.

He also picked up a puck and gave it to Sergei to hold.

After practice, Jakub Vrana and head coach Todd Reirden came over to say hi.

Mom documented Dad and son’s time on the ice on her Instagram Story, including their trek to the team store.

At the end of their time at the rink, the Ovechkins and Nastya’s sister, Masha Nahapetova, along with Masha’s family took a photo together.
