The Washington Nationals invited the World Series Dress Lady into their suite. They let her hold the Commissioner’s Trophy.

The Stanley Cup Dress Lady became the World Series Dress Lady during the MLB playoffs. And after the Nats won the World Series, Nationals’ fan Kora Findler had an epic celebration. Once she finished pumping her fists and running around her backyard, Kora officially etched Washington Nationals onto the base of her dress skirt – a day the longtime fan will remember forever.

“I felt like history was made,” Kora said. “It was a life-changing, unbelievable moment to experience and my two sons were able to stay up and experience it too. I woke up the next day and thought it was a dream. And when I realized it wasn’t, it was everything all over again.”

Sunday, Kora attended the Capitals-Flames game in her World Series trophy dress. The Nationals were in attendance and in a partying mood. When they noticed the Human Commissioner’s Trophy in the stands, they invited her into their private suite.

“As soon as the Nationals arrived, they noticed me below and the guys were yelling to me ‘good job'” Kora said. “After 20 minutes or so, the players invited me to come up to the suite. I walked in and Ryan Zimmerman was holding the trophy. He immediately gave it to me.”

Kora held up the real Commissioner’s Trophy, creating a magical moment in the process.

“It was an out of body experience,” she said. “I never thought I would get the chance to hold the trophy as a fan, let alone dressed as the trophy. It was surreal. I was truly honored and grateful to be able to have the opportunity.”

The crossfitter added, “It’s a lot heavier than it looks. Way heavier than my dress!”

The first player to approach Kora was Gerardo Parra, who posted several photos of Kora on his Instagram Story.

Kora also got to meet future Hall of Fame pitcher, three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer.

“He was super down to earth, high energy, and ready to have a good time,” Kora said. “We joked about our broken noses because I have some history of breaking mine multiple times and did so again a couple of months ago.”

All of the players really respected that I started making the dress so early on,” Kora said. “I had some great conversations with the guys and coaches. They also seem to appreciate the detail of the dress, which is always nice to hear when you put so much love into it. All in all super down to earth guys that were all still in shock they won the World Series and having a great time. To be at the Caps game too with those guys and the energy in the arena it was an extremely special moment and night.”

Kora also went to the Nationals’ Championship Parade and Rally on Saturday with her husband Ted and her youngest two children, Max (7) and Cosette (13). Her kids dressed up too. Max wore a red man outfit with a curly W and Cosette rocked a boxing outfit that said Fight Finished on the championship belt.

“Fans were so excited about my dress and wanted to take pictures all day long,” Kora said before joking. “I had some people even give me tips, which was honestly great because it started paying for the costume.”

Kora noted that all the fans were intrigued by how long it took to make. They were impressed by the detail in person.

After the rally was over and we were headed to the metro, this one lady chased me down with her two kids, completely out of breath because she just sprinted a lot of the mall to catch up,” Kora said. “She just wanted a picture because she said she was a big fan and followed the whole Lady Stanley deal and had to get one of me that day. It was the sweetest thing. Her kids were big fans too.”

Kora then rode home on the metro in full costume.
