The official National Mall Twitter account had some fun on Tuesday morning. In a tribute to the Washington Nationals, the National Park Service tweeted a photo of a curly W mowed into the National Mall’s grass. “Go #Nats, from the (temporarily and unofficially) rechristened @Nationals Mall! #WorldSeries #FinishTheFight” The National Mall NPS wrote.
The viral image appears to be photoshopped, but that only slightly minimizes its awesomeness.

I would also like to point out that the National Mall changed its name to Nationals Mall.
The image is one of many local tributes that have been extended to the Nats over the last few days.
The National Symphony Orchestra brought out their French horns to play a medley of Gerardo Parra’s walk-up song, Baby Shark, and Take Me Out To The Ball Game. The video was taken at the Kennedy Center.
