The Washington Nationals are in Los Angeles tonight for their decisive Game Five of the National League Divisional Series against the Dodgers. And I can report they will have a pocket of crazy and loud fans in Nashville.
Those fans are the Washington Capitals who all wore Washington Nationals t-shirts under their suits on their flight to Tennessee.
The Capitals published photos taken from Dulles Airport on their social media accounts. “GO @NATIONALS!” the Caps wrote.
This is a very good look.
Alex Ovechkin, who threw out the first pitch on Monday and hugged Ryan Zimmerman, rocked a Nats shirt too.
John Walton, who like Evgeny Kuznetsov, has been at Nationals Park for all the recent games, tweeted out a photo of himself with fellow Caps Radio announcer Ken Sabourin. Walton tweeted “It’s okay to believe.”
Ready to #STAYINTHEFIGHT tonight, from @CapitalsRadio Let’s go Nats! #ItsOKtoBelieve @CharlieSlowes @DaveJageler pic.twitter.com/GGe1slueqC

Once the Caps got off the airplane, they took a team photo together.

The Capitals captioned the photo “#BeatLA.”
Stephen Strasburg, who, I’m told, is in the best shape of his life, will pitch in the do-or-die game for the Nationals.
Stay in the fight, Nats. We’re all rooting for you!
