Dmitry Orlov has joined the scoring in the season’s first game with an absolute weapon of a slapshot. Tying the game 2-2, Orlov took a feisty cross-ice pass from Nick Jensen and slapped into actual hell.
Lars Eller got the play started, then Nick Jensen delivered a quick pass to Orlov just below the blue line. Orlov’s one-timer slapshot deflected off Alexander Steen’s stick and zipped past Jordan Binnington to tie the fame late in the second period.
Ovi was a fan.
Orlov scored just three goals last season. 2019-20 is already shaping up better.
