Chandler Stephenson joins Brayden Schenn during Blues forward’s day with the Stanley Cup

Chandler Stephenson was a busy boy on Friday.

After deciding to file for arbitration in the morning, the Capitals forward joined Brayden Schenn during his day with the Stanley Cup.

Both forwards grew up in Saskatoon.

Schenn started playing hockey as a teenager with the Saskatoon Generals Bantam AA (65 goals in 43 games) while Stephenson suited up for the Saskatoon Outlaws Bantam AA (66 goals in 60 games).

During Schenn’s day with the Stanley Cup, the St. Louis Blues forward took the championship trophy to his childhood rink and gym. He had his dog Tilly take a photo in the Stanley Cup.

Schenn also joined Stephenson during his Stanley Cup tribute to the Humboldt Broncos last summer.
