Many of the Washington Capitals celebrated the one-year anniversary the first Stanley Cup Championship victory in franchise history on social media.

Tom Wilson’s post focused on the post-game hugs as everyone threw their gear in the air and raced to Braden Holtby’s net.

Eller posted the video of his game-winning goal and the celebration that followed the win.
Devante Smith-Pelly
DSP posted pictures to his Instagram story of him scoring the game-tying goal in the third period and raising the Stanley Cup.


Jakub Vrana
Jakub Vrana’s first picture in his Instagram story says “U know what day it is,” tagging the Capitals and underutilizing the heart and Cup emoji. The second is a picture of the sea of fans at the Cup parade with the text “Red city.” (❤️)


Alex Ovechkin
The Caps’ captain thanked his team for a moment that “will be always in my heart.”
