We haven’t had a party in almost a year. That changes this Friday.
On the anniversary of the Capitals winning the Stanley Cup, we will be at Walters Sports Bar to watch the re-airing of Game Five of the 2018 Stanley Cup Final between the Capitals and Golden Knights. Just don’t tell us what happens – we want to be surprised.
The party will start around 7 pm and end around 10-11. We expect you to wear your best Capitals championship gear or RMNB t-shirts.

With over 20 TVs including a 220 inch 4K video wall and a 24 tap pour your own beer system, Walters is the perfect place to watch the game, grab a burger, and cry into our beers. The maximum capacity is 400 people so yes, you and all your friends can come.
Plus there was one selling point Walter’s offered that others did not.

Walters is a new bar we should support, right by Nationals Park (center field), and easy to get to via Metro (Navy Yard-Ballpark on the Green Line).
Last year, I covered Game Five from my home in my basement, which was cool, don’t get me wrong. I drank champagne, I may or may not have shed many man tears, and then wrote blog posts until dawn. The thing that absolutely sucked about that was that I didn’t get to share the championship with you guys. This year, that changes.
Almost the entire site of RMNB authors will be at the party too, which is something even I don’t even experience in real life! So come hang out with your favorite RMNB author, watch the game with the site you read covering it last year, and let’s get super emo together.
