[SWORD SWOOSH] BLADES! OF! STEEL!
One of the weirdest and greatest hockey games in videogame history just got a fantastic remix by NBC Sports.
To promote Game One of the Stanley Cup Final between the Boston Bruins and the St. Louis Blues on Monday, the @NHLonNBCSports Twitter account released a video featuring an “update” to the mid-90s Nintendo game Blades of Steel

OH man. Oh man oh man oh man.
NBC hit all the essential details here.
Yep. This is a home run. To all the youngins out there, this is how ya boi used to spend 90 percent of his free time as a kid: playing an 8-bit video game created by people who I am deeply skeptical ever watched hockey once. Or maybe they watched one game ever and that was the actual problem.
