Tuesday afternoon, the Washington Capitals hosted an optional skate ahead before Wednesday’s Game Seven against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Watching the boys from the sideline, in what we can only assume was a loving and supportive manner, was Michal Kempny.
NHL.com’s Tom Gulitti first tweeted about Kempny watching practice.
Michal Kempny (torn left hamstring) was on the bench watching start of Capitals optional practice.

Kempny remains out, and on crutches, after tearing his left hamstring in the Caps’ 5-4 overtime loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning on March 20. He underwent surgery at the beginning of April and was announced to be out for the next 4-6 months.
