TJ Oshie is likely out for the rest of the postseason but had a message for Capitals fans on Twitter heading into Game Five.
Thanks to everyone for the get well wishes. I’m in good hands with our training staff, doctors and especially mama bear at home with her 2 little helpers. DC I need you to make some noise tonight for my boys. I want to hear you through the TV. #ALLCAPS #Back2Back @Capitals

Oshie fired the tweet out on Saturday afternoon after head coach Todd Reirden announced that Oshie would miss Game Five and be out “indefinitely” after suffering an upper-body injury on Thursday. The Capitals will have a more specific timeline on Oshie’s recovery within the next few days.
Oshie’s father also posted on Sunday holding up his son’s jersey. His message to the Caps was to win and #DoItForOshie. The signed jersey in the photo says “Love ya Coach!”
Oshie was injured in Game Four against the Hurricanes when he crashed shoulder-first into the boards after a push by Warren Foegele. Foegele served a two-minute boarding penalty but faced no further suspension from NHL’s Department of Player Safety.
